As a major aviation hub in Western China, Xi’an Xianyang International Airport handles over ten million passengers annually. With the widespread use of smart devices, passenger demand for charging during waiting, transfers, and boarding continues to grow. Traditional charging stations and wall sockets are no longer sufficient during peak periods, creating an urgent need for more convenient and efficient charging solutions.

Solution

GCteq deployed a large number of wireless charging units across key areas of Terminals 1 and 2, including waiting lounges, transfer corridors, VIP rooms, and boarding gates. The devices are embedded in the center tables between airport seats, allowing passengers to charge their devices wirelessly without carrying charging cables — simply place and charge, greatly enhancing the waiting experience.
